#SevynInTheCity has been the topic of the town this past weekend, as Atlantic Records recording artist Sevyn Streeter spent a couple of days in the Motor City during her “Don’t Kill The Fun” promo run.

Prior to hosting a private listening party at Collective Studios on Friday, Sevyn, assisted by Coin Handlers talent Sino and DJ BJ, also stopped by for a meet and greet with some young fans at both Mumford and Cass Tech High School in Detroit.

Soon after, Sevyn made her runs throughout the city with interviews at both Hot 107.5 and FM 98 WJLB radio stations. All of which led to a private listening Session event at Collective Studio later that evening, where Sevyn played a few unreleased tracks from her soon to be released debut album, ‘On The Verge.’

With Saturday being the conclusion of a fun (and work-filled) weekend, Sevyn held her “Don’t Kill The Fun Dance Workshop” at the Collective Dance Studio (across the street from the location of her listening session). She even stuck around for a second workshop to participate in Tiffani Danyell’s (@Luv_Makio) “Twerk Class.”

Before all was said and done, on Saturday, Sevyn gave Detroit one last performance at a private event held in celebration of “The Breakfast Club’s” one year anniversary with Detroit’s FM98 WJLB’s radio station,, which media personalities DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne the God all attended.
